What they got right:
The story itself is fairly intriguing. The lighting was very mood-appropriate. The sets were better than usual, as was the music. And Sarah Sutton never looked better.

What they got wrong:
The Garm looked like a schnauzer with a hyperactive thyroid. Tegan was as b****y as ever. The guards had the noisiest costumes since the Voord. Kari and Olvir's hair and makeup was too '80s, and their white spandex costumes seemed more appropriate for lackluster superheros than pirates. And there were just too many unanswered questions. How exactly did the Garm cure people, for instance? Was he a brilliant biochemist, or did he use voodoo? And what happened to the cured? A spaceship, which takes them away, is mentioned, but the staff don't seem to know anything about it... 2/5
